Mitch Oates is a talented graphic designer, passionate art enthusiast, adventurous spirit and self-proclaimed iced coffee aficionado. Growing up in Albury, Mitch’s creativity and curiosity have taken him on countless adventures, exploring new and exciting experiences both locally and beyond. As someone living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Mitch brings a unique and authentic perspective to his work. His lived experience navigating the world in a wheelchair has given him a deep understanding of the importance of inclusivity and the power of storytelling to inspire change. Mitch hopes to convey the message in his new book, A Dash of Adventure, that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can share in extraordinary adventures.
Julie Williams is a dedicated pharmacist, proud mother of two and passionate advocate for inclusivity. With a career spanning over a decade, Julie has combined her medical expertise with her deep commitment to helping others, most recently through her work as a support worker for Mitch. Through her book, A Dash of Adventure, Julie aims to foster important conversations about inclusivity, compassion and the importance of ensuring that every child, regardless of their abilities, can share in the joy of adventure.
