Securing Albury's Future - Together

Learn how Council is planning and delivering the infrastructure needed to support Albury's future growth.

AlburyCity is planning for a growing future. Over the past five years, the city's population has grown by more than 1.5% each year, with forecasts indicating continued growth of approximately 40,000 additional residents by 2040.

Supporting this growth requires long-term investment in roads, transport, water and sewer infrastructure, community facilities and public spaces. Through Securing Albury's Future – Together, Council is coordinating planning, advocacy and investment to ensure infrastructure keeps pace with community needs.

This work aligns with Towards Albury 2050 and brings together major planning initiatives including the Growing Thurgoona Wirlinga Structure Plan, Social Infrastructure Strategy and future transport planning to guide Albury's long-term growth.
