There is nothing better than finding a book that is perfect for you. With so many books on offer at the library, in every genre and format, it’s hard to know what to read next. The librarians at AlburyCity Libraries are willing to take on the challenge of finding you and your family your next favorite book!

Inter-Library Loans
If an item is not available at Albury LibraryMuseum or Lavington library, we can try to borrow the item you want from another library service.
Some titles or formats may not be available – other libraries can choose what they are willing to lend to us.
How much will it cost?
There is a non-refundable fee of $9.00 which you pay when you make the request.
- Other libraries may add extra fees which we will pass on to you.
- If there are extra fees, we will always check with you first - it is your decision to pay the fees or cancel the request.
How long will it take?
Delivery times will vary depending on where the item is available from and if the library is able/willing to loan it. We will let you know as soon as your item is available.
How long can I borrow it for and can it be renewed?
Your loan period will be determined by the lending library. There may be special conditions, such as only using the item in the library. This is at the request of the lending library.
You may be able to renew an item, but we will need to contact the lending library to confirm a renewal. This may be refused by the lending library. Please see a team member at the desk or phone the library to ask for a renewal.
If I change my mind, can I cancel the request?
Please let a team member know as soon as possible to cancel a request. Please remember the initial $9.00 fee is non-refundable.
What if I lose or damage an Inter-Library Loan item?
You will have to pay whatever the item cost plus administration fees the owning library charges. Some of these fees can be quite substantial, so please be careful with the items.

Copies from Microform, Books and Magazines:
You can order copies/scans of material from the Library's collections for research or study, including:
- chapters from books
- articles from magazines
- articles from microfilm.
We can email you a digital scan copy or post a photocopy to you.
All requests will be subject to the Copyright Act 1968.
