Council launches new-look Retro Connect Card
Albury’s young people can continue to carry vital information about local youth service providers in their pockets when AlburyCity launches its new-look 2024 Retro Connect Card today.
The card features contact details of organisations such as Yes Unlimited, Headspace and Kids Helpline, and offers discounts on services from haircuts to food.
The Retro Connect Card has been issued to Albury’s young people for the past seven years, and this year, 7,000 cards will be distributed to high schools and local youth service providers and are also available for collection at the Retro Lane Cafe.
AlburyCity Deputy Mayor, Steve Bowen, said the cards were key to linking people aged 12-24 to local services when they needed support.
“I urge young people to make the most of the card,” he said.
“The services are there, and it’s vital that young people reach out and use them when they need to.”
Cr Bowen also praised the young people who had worked on the card and thanked the local businesses offering discounts as part of the program:

- Modern Boba
- Retro Lane Cafe
- Lost and Found Barbers
- Monumental Ice Creamery.
“This is a really great service for our young people, and the ongoing support of these businesses is essential to its continuation,” he said.
