Works to improve roundabout

Works to improve the roundabout at the corner of Kiewa and Ebden Streets in South Albury will begin on Monday 28 September.

24 Sep 2020

The works will include:

  • Kerb and gutter, and footpath and driveway repairs
  • Removal of the asphalt surface
  • New asphalt surfacing
  • Construction of new traffic islands, and
  • New line marking

The initial repairs are expected to take three weeks to complete and will be conducted under traffic control.

Major resurfacing works will be carried out in November, during which time the roundabout will be closed from 7 am to 5 pm.

AlburyCity has written to residents in the area to advise of them the works and further advice will be provided in the lead-up to the resurfacing phase of the project.

Residents have been asked to park their vehicles outside of the works zone while construction takes place.

Although the works may cause some disruption, the result will be an improved roundabout that will serve the community for many years to come.

Council thanks residents and road users for their patience while the improvements are carried out.
