Odis the Owl

A symbolic representation of both knowledge and learning associated with Libraries, the Owl also highlights the area’s endangered Barking Owl.

The Owl representing knowledge and wisdom was given the name Odis by the Lavington community. Odis, meaning patient, persevering and strong willed.  A good student, absorbing knowledge easily and retaining it well. Odis the Owl is symbolic of the importance of the area’s endangered Barking Owl and the association of the library with learning and knowledge.

Funded by AlburyCity’s Urban and Public Art fund with support from Zauner Construction.
