AlburyCity is proud to host the local National Reconciliation Week Flag Raising Ceremony at QEII Square on Wednesday 27 May at 10am.
The event marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week – a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is ‘All In’ is a heartfelt invitation for every Australian to fully embrace Reconciliation each and every day. It reminds us that Reconciliation isn’t something we can watch from a distance – it asks all of us to step forward with open hearts, get involved and play an active part in creating meaningful change together.
‘All In’ is a gentle but powerful reminder that Reconciliation and advancing the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is a responsibility we all share.
The morning begins at 10am in QEII Square for the Flag Raising Ceremony, with a Welcome to Country performed by Aunty Edna Stewart and Smoking Ceremony hosted by Darren Wighton.
Guests are then invited to gather and connect at the Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) for conversation and a cuppa.
