If your business discharges wastewater containing fats, oils, grease, chemicals or other contaminants into Council’s sewer, you may need liquid trade waste approval.

Contact Council if you are unsure whether your wastewater is liquid trade waste or what treatment equipment may be required.
2. Prepare your documents
Complete the AlburyCity liquid trade waste application form and prepare any required plans, drawings and supporting information.
3. Lodge your application
Upload the completed form and supporting documents through the NSW Planning Portal.
4. Council will assess
Council will assess and categorise your application. Some applications may also require concurrence from the relevant NSW regulator. We will advise you of the outcome and any approval conditions in writing.
Please note: It is important to note that this process may occasionally take several weeks to complete.
